Who We Are
ALTARations is a ministry of compassion and care, helping people discover new life in Jesus Christ! We accomplish this through fellowship, prayer, outreach, and counseling - empowering individuals and families to strengthen their relationship with God.
What We Believe
We believe in one God, who is manifest as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the total depravity of man has only found hope and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Through belief and confession, sin is forgiven, salvation from sin and damnation is received, and sanctification begins.
We believe in the inerrancy of the Bible. We hold it reverently as the infallible Word of God, recorded by holy men as they were divinely inspired.
We are The Church, and we believe in brotherly love and sincere fellowship. We grow in all aspects of life as we live in unity, praying together and looking out for one another. We honor the ordinances set forth by our Lord, Jesus - baptism, foot washing and Holy Communion.
Founder
Travis A. Smith founded ALTARations Prayer & Outreach Ministries, Inc. in 2020 as a safe space for individuals to learn about God and grow in their faith. To stand fully equipped in his ministry call, Travis obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Administration from Dominion Theological Seminary in Brooklyn, NY. He has also obtained NACC board certification as a Christian Counselor and Life Coach.
Above all, Travis loves to be described as a family man. He is the devoted husband of Mrs. Miriam Smith. They reside in New York City with their two children, Eleazar and Symphonie.
